Designers Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle, cofounders of Broberg & Ridderstråle Design and Architecture, discovered the rhombus shape of the Romb 48 Table Lamp when they were experimenting with rippled cardboard they use when modelling and developing architectural projects. They made the quadrilaterals in two sizes and stacked the larger hollow form on top of the smaller one so that downlight washes the bottom shape and up-light glows from the top. Though both the tan and white versions of this table lamp fool the eye into thinking they are made of cardboard, they are engineered from durable aluminum in colors the designers call cotton (white) and cumin (tan). The Romb 48 Table requires bolt down installation.
